At empack, Hovmand will be presenting a range of solutions for loading packaging machines: Roller lifters enable foil rolls to be conveniently picked up from the pallet and transported to the machine. Electric or manually operated manipulators move foil rolls to the desired height and position for insertion into the packaging machine. These lifting aids can be used to lift foil rolls weighing up to 300 kg to a height of up to 2.3 m. Hovmand’s mobile lifting solutions can help to reduce the downtime of packaging machines, as changing foils is faster and there is less need because larger rolls can be used without overloading the employees. “This reduces sick leave and labour turnover in the company in the long term, which has a positive effect on productivity and the cost structure,” explains Regional Sales Manager Koen Dillen.
Thanks to its precision handling, sensitive and expensive packaging material is also better protected.
Hovmand also provides ergonomic solutions for lifting, stacking and transporting boxes, cartons or KLTs. Crate handling devices make sense even for light loads and make it possible to transport several crates at once, thereby saving time and travel. Shelves can be conveniently loaded and unloaded with the mobile crate lifters, without jerky movements or harmful twisting of the spine. This prevents unhealthy bending of the back whilst carrying weight and uneven pressure distribution on the intervertebral disc.
At the same time, companies benefit from low production waste caused by improper manual handling.
