Products & services
Export packaging + corrosion protection
Our packaging reliably protects your goods against mechanical stress and environmental influences such as humidity, temperature, and corrosion. The three packaging standards are tailored to the type of goods, climate zone, and duration of transport and storage. For sensitive metal parts, we use VCI packaging. This creates an invisible protective layer that prevents corrosion during transport and storage — without the need for additional greasing. For longer transport routes or extreme climatic conditions, we use aluminum composite packaging. These multilayer films provide effective protection against moisture and temperature fluctuations and can be used in combination with desiccants.
Transport crates
With extensive experience and expertise, we manufacture suitable transport crates for your export goods precisely according to your individual measurements. Each crate is perfectly adapted to the weight and characteristics of the transported items. Our transport crates guarantee the safe transport of your goods. Our transport crates stand for absolute safety and robustness. Your goods arrive at their destination undamaged. Protection is provided not only against mechanical stress (impacts, shocks, etc.) but also if necessary, against humidity.

With Nefab Schweiz AG you can pack - and since recently also unpack very easily: the transport boxes of the Easy Open Line convince with revolutionary techniques for quick packing and unpacking. The special packing boxes not only protect your goods safely, but can also be opened by anyone at the decisive moment with the minimum of effort and in the shortest possible time.
We also pack at your company
With our mobile packing department and the experienced specialists, we pack your products at your site or at your supplier's site. For this purpose, we produce the necessary boxes and crates, supply the necessary packaging material and, if required, also take care of the necessary lifting equipment.

Corrosion protection for long-term storage up to 15 years
Innovative packaged goods combine a wide variety of materials. In order to protect these materials in the long term against environmental influences such as corrosion or ageing, Nefab Schweiz AG offers packaging in INTERCEPT® technology. The principle is as simple as it is effective and is suitable for almost every application to protect packaged goods from destructive corrosion. It is irrelevant whether the goods are transported by sea or air or stored on land. INTERCEPT® consists of highly porous copper particles that are permanently cross-linked in a plastic compound. The particles (e.g. salts, sulphur compounds, ozone, nitrogen oxides and other so-called "corrosive gases") react much earlier with elements present in the atmosphere that cause and promote corrosion. INTERCEPT® reacts and permanently binds corrosive gases, creating a neutralised atmosphere that protects all materials stored in it from corrosion and ageing. Even moisture that migrates through the packaging is freed from the corrosive elements and no longer leads to corrosion. Since the effect has not only been confirmed in standardised and independent tests, but has also been proven to work flawlessly in actual worldwide shipments and storage for up to 15 years, the guarantees and liability assumptions for Intercept products and applications go far beyond the known standard. In addition to the excellent protective effect, it should also be noted that the products do not emit any chemicals, are recyclable and meet all occupational health and safety requirements and therefore do not place an unnecessary burden on people or the environment. EdgePak Straw Collar
EdgePak Straw Collar is made from cardboard and unique straw corners, providing a sustainable alternative to wooden frames for single-use transport. As a fiber-based solution, it is 100% recyclable like paper and produces 50% less CO₂ emissions. In practice, conventional reusable systems are often used as single-use systems, which is costly and unsustainable. Wooden frames are also heavy and bulky. EdgePak Straw Collar addresses this issue by offering a lightweight, ergonomic, and foldable fiber-based solution specifically designed for single-use transport. The solution is 58% lighter than traditional wooden frames while providing excellent stacking strength with a maximum load of up to 800 kg. EdgePak Straw Collar combines sustainability, cost efficiency, and practical handling in a robust packaging solution.
CratePak
CratePak is an innovative and sturdy wooden crate solution featuring galvanized metal corners for maximum stability and easy, nail-free assembly. Its foldable, modular design allows flat-packed storage and shipping, reducing both transportation and storage costs. CratePak crates are specifically designed to protect large and heavy products in demanding environments. They withstand a wide range of mechanical shocks and vibrations across various transport modes while maintaining their strength even during long-term outdoor storage. Fully customizable sizes and pallet designs allow the crates to be perfectly tailored to individual products. The nail-free design ensures safe, quiet assembly and disassembly, while galvanized metal corners further simplify handling. CratePak combines sustainability with cost efficiency: proven constructions, supported by finite element analyses and lab testing, optimize material usage. At the same time, flat-packed delivery and stackability enable space-saving storage and efficient transport solutions.

Given the increasing complexity of supply chain management, product transparency and inventory control are more important than ever. Our digital services consist of three main offerings: Connected Return Flows Tracking returns to optimize lead times, pool sizes, and service processes. High-Value Goods Monitor the location and environmental conditions of sensitive and high-value goods throughout their journey. Last-Mile Optimization Carry out end-to-end installations on the last mile using online management tools. With our portfolio of connected devices, we can monitor packaging worldwide in real time, providing complete control. EdgePak Straw
EdgePak Straw is an innovative packaging solution made from strawboard, cardboard, and foldable corners, specifically designed to overcome the weaknesses of conventional corrugated boxes. Under humid conditions, traditional boxes often lose strength, and triple-wall solutions are rare on the market. In addition, sustainability is becoming increasingly important. EdgePak Straw offers significantly higher stacking strength—up to 83% more than AAA-flute corrugated boxes under high humidity—reliably protecting products. At the same time, the packaging is easy to recycle and has minimal environmental impact, making it a sustainable alternative to conventional solutions.
ExPak P
Nefab ExPak P is a premium series of technical packaging solutions designed for the safe transport of a wide range of products, even under the most challenging conditions. ExPak P is tested and approved in our ISTA-certified laboratories according to international standards to reliably support all modes of transport. ExPak P is a foldable, nail-free, export-compliant plywood crate, distinguished by its robust construction and ease of handling. It is ideal for heavy, fragile, or high-value goods and, thanks to its foldable design, allows for space-efficient storage and efficient return.

The Nefab ExPak S has been specifically designed to meet the highest demands of global shipping. It provides reliable protection for a wide variety of products, even under challenging transport conditions. ExPak S is tested and approved in our ISTA-certified laboratories according to international standards, making it suitable for all common modes of transport. ExPak S is a foldable, nail-free plywood crate that stands out for its stability and reusability. Thanks to its foldable design, it can be quickly assembled, easily handled, and stored or returned in a space-efficient manner.
ExPak XL
Nefab ExPak XL is an exclusive range of technical packaging solutions designed specifically for the safe transport of a wide variety of products, even under the most demanding conditions. ExPak XL is tested and approved in our ISTA-certified laboratories according to international standards to meet the requirements of all modes of transport. ExPak XL is a nail-free, foldable, export-compliant plywood crate ideal for heavy, fragile, or high-value goods. All side panels can be assembled and disassembled individually, allowing for particularly easy handling, space-efficient storage, and efficient reuse.
Fiber Flute
FiberFlute is a fiber-based cushioning solution that provides excellent protection and shock absorption for a wide range of products. It offers an environmentally friendly alternative to PE foam and is made entirely from paper, making it 100% recyclable. The solution combines outstanding cushioning performance with sustainability, reducing both environmental impact and overall costs. Thanks to Nefab’s global presence and the exclusive FiberFlute technology, customers can reliably protect their products while choosing a resource-efficient packaging solution.
Lithium-ion Battery Solutions
Lithium Batteries are classified as Dangerous Goods by the United Nations. The consequence is that the packaging needs to fulfill a high standard and normally be UN certified. Nefab has more than 700 UN Certified Packaging Solutions and holds a position to serve all flows and statuses of batteries while supporting our customers with regulatory guidance. The focus is currently on the automotive sector for electric vehicles.
Thermoformed Solutions
The thermoformed solutions from Nefab offer highly protective, custom-fit, and sustainable plastic packaging. They are made predominantly from recycled materials and are 100% recyclable, providing an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional packaging. WoodFoam
Our WoodFoam solutions offer environmentally friendly fiber-based packaging, providing a sustainable and healthy alternative to conventional plastic-based materials and PU foam. They are fully reusable and recyclable like paper, and are 100% isocyanate-free. With WoodFoam, we help reduce the use of plastics and thereby lower CO₂ emissions. Compared to PU foam, which contains isocyanates — a substance that can be harmful to humans and may even cause asthma with long-term exposure — our solutions offer a safe and healthy packaging concept. WoodFoam products are made from fiber-based materials that are recyclable within the paper stream and provide cushioning performance comparable to PU foam. They complement our FiberFlute solutions perfectly: while WoodFoam is designed for lighter products up to 10 kg, FiberFlute is suitable for heavier goods. This way, we can offer sustainable, safe, and high-performance packaging for almost any product weight.
Easy Box Light
No nails, no screws: the Easy Box Light can be opened without any tools. After use, the functional, standard-sized box can be reused. The Easy Box Light is delivered in a space-saving manner and can be stored very compactly. It can be filled and unloaded with minimal effort. A single person can assemble the stackable box made of OSB boards in a very short time. The plug-in system allows particularly ergonomic and fast packing. When unpacking, the packaged goods are immediately accessible after removing the strapping and lid. A seal attached to the connecting edges serves as proof of opening.
Easy Box Standard
The remarkably light, stackable Easy Box Standard is ideal for packaging larger items. The OSB packing boxes can be adapted individually to match the size of their contents. The key features of the Easy Box Standard are its light weight and easy assembly – no nails necessary. No levers are needed to pop the sides of the box off. This box can also be produced individually at no extra cost. The multi-use Easy Box Standard can be sized to fit your products, so there is never an issue with unnecessary unused volume. A seal fastened to the joins indicates when the box has been opened
Easy Box Clip
An innovative plastic clip with twist closure gives this reusable box extra stability. The system clips together in a flash to create a completely gap-free box, which can later be disassembled for compact storage. These stackable OSB boxes have permanent plastic connectors for rapid, secure assembly – no need for any tools. The Easy Box Clip is produced on a customer-/product-specific basis to match individual requirements based on the contents. This saves on unnecessary empty space during storage and transport. For extra security, the ergonomically constructed clip-together system also has a surrounding strap. The contents can be accessed immediately the lid is removed. A seal fastened to the joins indicates when the box has been opened.
Easy Box Intra
Systematically flexible organisation: a simple insert system allows the Easy Box Intra to be divided into custom-sized compartments. It’s the perfect flexible packaging and shipping solution for products with varying sizes. The Easy Box Intra is specially designed as reusable packaging for small parts. The compartments can be adjusted individually to match the product sizes, avoiding unnecessary empty areas – and consequently saving space and costs during both storage and shipping. The plywood system is easy to slot together and does not require any screws or nails. A surrounding strap secures the Easy Box Intra for extra stability. The box is equally quick and easy to disassemble, and can then be stored compactly for future use. A seal fastened to the joins indicates when the box has been opened.
Easy Box Slide
This transport box features customisable horizontal divisions – match the shelves to your product dimensions. The flexible use of space and stable plywood shelves make this the ideal box for multiple uses. The shelves and compartments can be adjusted individually to match your particular requirements. They are easily accessed from one side, meaning that the contents can be slid into tight spaces and removed again later without disassembling the box. The Easy Box Slide has stable OSB sides and strong plywood shelves that can be positioned separately each time you use the box. It can be closed with either a safety screw or a locking latch.
