Rondo wins two WorldStar Packaging Awards 2025
International recognition once again for the packaging specialist
In 2025, Rondo Ganahl AG was honored with two prestigious WorldStar Packaging Awards: the “Rosé DAC assortment packaging” won in the Alcoholic Beverages category, while the “feey Advent Calendar” triumphed in Gift Packaging. The trophies were presented at a festive gala during the IPACK-IMA trade fair in Milan on May 30, 2025.
The WorldStar is regarded as the most important award in the packaging industry – often called the “Oscars of Packaging.” With more than 550 entries from 40 countries, this double win is an outstanding success for Rondo’s sites in Frastanz and St. Ruprecht. “This recognition clearly highlights the strong development expertise of our teams,” says Hubert Marte, CEO of Rondo Ganahl AG.
Sustainable Advent Calendar on all levels
The feey plant Advent Calendar impresses with both sustainable contents and an eco-friendly packaging concept: an outer box made of corrugated board combined with an inner tray made of molded fiber – the newest business segment of Rondo. This marks the first award for a complete solution combining corrugated board and molded fiber. Molded fiber is an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic inserts, providing protection, space, and optimal light and moisture flow through carefully designed openings. “A true team effort focused on quality and design,” says Severin Candrian, co-founder of feey.
Award-winning wine packaging with tradition
The 8-bottle assortment box “The Origin of Rosé,” developed together with the Rosalia DAC winemakers, impressed the jury with its sturdy, glue-free construction and unique horizontal layout. Remarkably, Rondo already won its first WorldStar Award in 2003 – also for a wine packaging created with Rosalia DAC. A proud continuation of a long-standing tradition of excellence.
