The principle is as simple as it is effective and is suitable for almost every application to protect packaged goods from destructive corrosion. It is irrelevant whether the goods are transported by sea or air or stored on land. INTERCEPT® consists of highly porous copper particles that are permanently cross-linked in a plastic compound. The particles (e.g. salts, sulphur compounds, ozone, nitrogen oxides and other so-called "corrosive gases") react much earlier with elements present in the atmosphere that cause and promote corrosion. INTERCEPT® reacts and permanently binds corrosive gases, creating a neutralised atmosphere that protects all materials stored in it from corrosion and ageing.
